FAQ

Do I sign a contract?

I must earn your continued patronage on each visit so I don't use contracts. I depend on your feedback - if I do a great job, tell a friend!  If I need to change something - just tell me.

What will you do in my home?

I will come to visit your home initially - I can't give you an estimate over the phone. Any service that does an estimate over the phone - if they don't care enough to come and see your home - how can you expect them to care when they clean it?

Some of my services includes dusting baseboards, pictures, lampshades, knick-knacks, window sills, furniture, and basic light fixtures, and vacuuming throughout. Cupboard fronts are spot-cleaned, floors are washed, and the kitchen and bathrooms are thoroughly cleaned.  I also change bed linens.  I try our best to accommodate all your cleaning needs.

What time do you work?

I will work as early as 7:30 AM and as late as 8:00 PM - obviously not all day every day, but I will adjust my day to accommodate your schedule.

Do I have to do anything before the day cleaning?

To give you the greatest value -it is helpful for you to pick up extra clothes and toys.  Any other household items that may not be in their normal place would be helpful too.  I can't scrub your kitchen counters if the bread and peanut butter is still out from breakfast - do you really want to pay me to hunt for where you keep the peanut butter?  Better to pay me for scrubbing and cleaning.  Same with toys in the toy box - better to pay me for vacuuming then to figure out where the trucks and dolls go.  This helps me maximize you cleaning time.

What if something is damaged when my home is cleaned?

I treat your home like it is mine - however, should damage or breakage occur while I am cleaning your home, I will make every effort to have the item repaired, or replaced if it cannot be repaired. Insurance claims will be filed when appropriate.

Am I potentially liable for worker's compensation insurance or taxes?

I am insured and self employed.  I assume all responsibility for myself.  Because I am a business I pay all my own taxes - you are only paying for the service.  Taxes and workers compensation come into play when you have live-in maids where you are their sole income - that is not the case here.  No worries for you.

What if my cleaning falls on a holiday?

If your scheduled cleaning falls on the observance of a major holiday, we will contact you to reschedule your service.

What if I need to change the scheduled cleaning?

I will work with you - I am flexible!

Are you insured and bonded?

I am licensed, bonded and insured.  Although I am not a U.S. citizen (born and raised in Europe), I am here legally (something to consider when you look at other cleaners)!

Must I be at home when you clean?

What ever you feel most comfortable with - some customers like to be there the first time or two that I clean and they they become.  Most of my customers are not home.

How do you protect my keys?

I treat your keys like my own.  If something happens to them - I will tell you.

How many people will clean my home?

Myself and my daughter - no employees outside our family.

What if I would like something cleaned that is not part of the original agreement?

I will work with you.

Do I need to provide my own cleaning products?

Yes - I will use your vacuum, broom, bucket and cleaning supplies.  Do you really want me to vacuum your house with a vacuum I have used in 10 other peoples houses?  You know what is best for your house, that is what I will use.

Will I always have the same team?

I will always be the one doing the work.

How do I pay for your services?

Cash on the table - I will am also setting up an online payment system (paypal.com) so you can use your VISA/Mastercard too!
